  • 8 oz (225g) pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in crushed tomatoes, stir, and simmer for 8-10 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Reduce heat to low and slowly stir in heavy cream, mixing well to combine.
  5. Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and incorporated.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Toss cooked pasta into the creamy tomato sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or grilled chicken. Serve with garlic bread for a complete meal.
