Red and Green Caprese Skewers

These Red and Green Caprese Skewers are a fresh, colorful twist on the classic Italian salad, perfect for a light appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (red and green)
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 12 small wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Rinse cherry tomatoes and basil leaves under cold water and pat dry.
  2. Thread one cherry tomato onto a skewer, followed by a basil leaf (folded if large), then a mozzarella ball, and finish with another cherry tomato.
  3. Repeat the process for all skewers.
  4. Arrange skewers on a serving platter.
  5. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze evenly over the skewers.
  6. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, sprinkle the skewers with finely chopped fresh oregano or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
