Peanut Butter Cookies

Deliciously soft and chewy peanut butter cookies with a rich, nutty flavor perfect for any snack or dessert occasion.

  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Stir in baking soda and salt until fully combined.
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Flatten each ball gently with a fork, making a crisscross pattern.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before baking to enhance the peanut flavor.
