  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Lightly coat each chicken breast with the seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  9. Remove from oven, spoon sauce over chicken, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in buttermilk for 1 hour before cooking or serve with a side of garlic mashed potatoes.
