Maple Carrot Fries

Maple Carrot Fries are a deliciously sweet and savory twist on traditional fries, baked to crispy perfection and glazed with natural maple syrup for a healthy snack or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the carrot fries with olive oil, maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are tender and caramelized.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the carrot fries in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking and pat them dry thoroughly.
