  • 1 pizza dough ball (about 12 inches)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for a touch of heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch round.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a piece of parchment paper for easy handling.
  4. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil, then spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the surface, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Season the ricotta with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Carefully transfer the pizza on the parchment paper to the preheated stone or baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the crust is golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from oven and immediately drizzle with honey and sprinkle fresh thyme leaves on top.
  9. Optionally, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick.
  10. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For a more textured pizza, add toasted walnuts or a handful of arugula after baking. Serve with a light salad for a complete meal.
