Garlic Butter Salmon

This Garlic Butter Salmon features tender, flaky salmon fillets cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce, making it a perfect and flavorful weeknight dinner.

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove salmon and set aside.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet.
  6. Once butter melts, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and lemon zest, then remove from heat.
  8. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the salmon fillets.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or serve with steamed vegetables and rice.
