Garlic Butter Chicken Thigh Skillet

A juicy and flavorful garlic butter chicken thigh skillet that’s perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner, featuring tender chicken cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce.

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place chicken thighs skin-side down in the skillet; cook until skin is crispy and golden, about 6-7 minutes.
  4. Flip the chicken and cook the other side for another 5 minutes.
  5. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside. Reduce heat to medium.
  6. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  7. Pour in chicken broth and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  8. Return chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning some sauce over them.
  9. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, serve with steamed vegetables or over creamy mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious garlic butter sauce.
