Cranberry Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip

A vibrant and creamy dip combining the tartness of cranberries with the spicy kick of jalapenos, perfect for entertaining or casual snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (227g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and orange zest. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold the cooled cranberry mixture and chopped jalapeno into the cream cheese until evenly combined.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley if desired.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For an extra crunch, serve with toasted baguette slices or whole-grain crackers. Adjust jalapeno quantity based on your preferred spice level.
