Citrus Chicken Thighs

Juicy chicken thighs infused with bright citrus flavors, perfect for a quick and flavorful dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 orange, juice and zest
  • 1 lemon, juice and zest
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together orange juice and zest, lemon juice and zest, garlic, olive oil, honey, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the citrus marinade over them, coating evenly.
  4. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  5. Bake the chicken thighs for 35-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
  6. Baste the chicken with the pan juices halfway through cooking for more flavor and moisture.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra crisp skin, broil the chicken thighs for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Serve with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
