  • 2 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1 jar (15 oz) Alfredo sauce
  • 4 round sourdough bread loaves
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the sourdough loaves and hollow out the centers, leaving about a 1-inch thick bread shell.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter and minced garlic. Brush the mixture inside the bread bowls and on the tops.
  4. Bake the bread bowls and tops for 10 minutes until slightly crispy.
  5. In a skillet, warm the Alfredo sauce over medium heat. Stir in shredded chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until heated through.
  6. Fill each bread bowl with the chicken Alfredo mixture.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the filling.
  8. Place the filled bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm with the toasted bread tops.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
