  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the marinara sauce and stir. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and slowly stir in the heavy cream until the sauce is creamy and well combined.
  5. Add crushed red pepper flakes (if using), and season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Gently fold the cooked tortellini into the creamy marinara sauce, coating every piece evenly.
