Cheddar Jalapeño Burgers

Spicy and cheesy, these Cheddar Jalapeño Burgers combine juicy beef patties with sharp cheddar and fresh jalapeños for a flavorful twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)
  • Mayonnaise or preferred burger sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped jalapeños, diced onion, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  2. Form mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about ¾-inch thick.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip the patties and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until cheese is melted and the patties reach desired doneness.
  5. Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
  6. Assemble burgers by placing the cheddar jalapeño patty on the bun, topping with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your spicy cheddar jalapeño burgers.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add a slice of avocado or a dollop of sour cream. Adjust the jalapeño seeds to control the heat level.
