Broccoli Cheese Balls

Deliciously crispy broccoli cheese balls that are perfect as a snack or appetizer, combining fresh broccoli with melted cheese in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Steam the chopped broccoli until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain well and let cool.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooled broccoli, shredded cheddar, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Beat the eggs and add them to the mixture, stirring until everything is well combined and forms a sticky dough.
  4. Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the broccoli cheese balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a healthier option, bake the balls at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden instead of frying.
