Brazilian Mounjaro recipe

Brazilian Mounjaro is a vibrant and flavorful dish combining traditional Brazilian ingredients with a hearty, satisfying preparation that highlights delicious spices and fresh flavors.

  • 2 cups cooked black beans
  • 1 lb beef or chicken, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Cooked white rice, to serve

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add diced beef or chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Stir in chopped tomatoes, red bell pepper, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add cooked black beans and mix well, cooking for another 5 minutes until heated through.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in fresh cilantro.
  9. Serve hot over cooked white rice with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute the meat with sautéed mushrooms or tempeh. Garnish with avocado slices for extra creaminess.
