Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the torn croissant pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Scatter the mixed berries evenly over the croissants.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants and berries, pressing gently to coat all pieces.
  6. Let the bake sit for 10 minutes to absorb the custard.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy your berry croissant breakfast bake!
